1st ICCA Latin America Meeting turns out to be a great success!
24 September 2012
Dear Colleagues and ICCA members,
Between the 21st and the 24th of August, the 1st ICCA Latin America Meeting was held, with great success, in the city of Medellin, Colombia. In this context, we were able to develop the first Regional meeting of our Chapter and the 6th edition of the ICCA Client/Supplier Workshop, with the presence of 60 ICCA members who shared experiences and generated work opportunities strengthen the Meeting Industry regionally. We also had the chance of gathering with 13 decision makers of associations to promote our destinations and services always enjoying the warmth of the local hosts.
As President of the ICCA Latin American Chapter I would like to express my gratitude to the city of Medellin and to the ICCA Regional Office Team for the great job executed and their contribution to the success of this meeting. And, of course, to each and every one of you participating, with whom we shared this event, the first of many. Soon, you will receive from Maria Jose Alvez (@iccalatam) the conditions to apply to host the 2nd ICCA Latin American Meeting, which represents, undoubtedly, a major opportunity to learn about our region experiences and continue to grow in attracting international events.
Likewise, we have ahead the 51st ICCA Congress in the city of San Juan in Puerto Rico. Details are already available in ICCA’s website. As the Latin American Chapter, our presence in San Juan is essential to strengthen ourselves as a regional group, enrich our knowledge and continue to share our experiences and the challenges ahead, aiming for positioning our beautiful region, Latin America.
See you in San Juan to continue with our team work!
Kind Regards,
Pablo Sismanian
Chairman of the Latin American Chapter
