Adelaide Convention Centre to Host Ausveg 2013
31 July 2012
The event, which will be held in late May, is expected to attract in excess of 1000 delegates from across the country.
Hosted by AUSVEG, the national peak industry body representing around 9,000 vegetable and potato growers, the event is the largest of its kind for the Australian horticultural industry.
Adelaide Convention Centre Chief Executive Alec Gilbert said the Centre was delighted that AUSVEG had chosen Adelaide to host the event in 2013.
“We hope to help AUSVEG make next year’s event the biggest in its four year history and a memorable one for all the delegates.
“The Centre also looks forward to showcasing some of South Australia’s finest produce at the event’s Gala Dinner including our local vegetables.”
AUSVEG has become a key event in the Australian horticultural sector and it’s predicted it will generate over $1 million in delegate spending in Adelaide.
AUSVEG National Marketing Manager Simon Coburn said the city of Adelaide is the perfect location for the event as the facilities at the Convention Centre are second to none.
“We’re also encouraging delegates to bring their families and take the opportunity to turn a visit to the event into a holiday and take in the sights of the City and State including its many famous wine regions.”
